Dialectical thinking

Dialectical thinking for me is probably one of the most interesting thought processes in my opinion. When one is faced with a problem or conflict, one goes through this process to reason between two sides. It's almost like the little guys one each side of the shoulder. Each brings a different side and aspect into the thinking process. It allows us to put the truths and the facts together to form a decision on how we're going to act or how one will resolve something. I feel as though this thought process plays a huge roll in our society and can be for the good. It allows people to see different perspectives and in other words "put yourself in someone else's shoes". Especially with this last election, we don't all agree with each other in many aspects but this type of thinking allows for us to deal with things in a mature manner and look at the different opinions and perspectives. We go through this thought process in order to do so, this doesn't mean we agree with them but it means you listened and put yourself into their shoes and viewed that perspective.
