Family Closeness

I found this section of this chapter to be very interesting because, closeness in my family is something I do not have. From reading the short story, I believed that the student had a good family foundation because her parents and the rest of her family was able to stand by her side even though she got pregnant at such a young age. I know that many parents would have disowned their child because of this particular action. The way her parents and family reacting was very well done because, this gives the student a chance to raise her child and not have to regret the mistakes that she made. It becomes very beneficial for the child later on in life because, they will be able to learn from their parents mistakes and make better decisions or choices. It will be easier for the child to open up to his or her parents when they are in a tough situation. Not only that, the parents will be able to understand their child's choices and the parents will be more knowledgeable about the activities that their child is into because they have created a great relationship with one another.
