A Bit of Reflection

This week, as I was typing out my discussion post and doing some other work, I ended up pausing for a few minutes. I sat and thought about how the information I was learning worked in my life. I thought about how I initially was very shy as a child, electing to only have a few friends. As I matured and grew to where I am now, I gradually learned to become more emboldened in my life. Nowadays, I still retain some of my shyness, but I'm much more social than I previously was. I was intrigued about how the theories and observations we are learning worked and made sense of how I've changed to be who I am today. On the other hand, I thought what could of happened as well. How different would I be if I stayed mostly shy? Another question - what events or lifestyle decisions caused me to change? I personally believe I changed the most when I joined indoor drum line in my sophomore year of high school. I had some friends that were already in it, and they convinced me to join. Through the activity, I met more people, gained valuable leadership skills, and was a part of a very close group of friends. I personally was proud of how much I've changed over the years. To my classmates, I have a question: Are you proud of how you've matured throughout your life? What do you think was the biggest catalyst to your change?
