Observation

While reading chapter one, the section about observation stuck out at me the most. I babysit a lot for family friends of mine, i just connect very easily with kids. I like how scientists actually observe peoples rather kids behavior to determine how they interact with other or just act as oneself. I can use this section and compare it my own life when i am babysitting. I sit back and watch the kids and just "observe" them in their natural habitat of their own home, when their parents aren't around. When you watch them playing with their toys, or watching a tv show, even eating you see how each kid has a different sense how they do things or how they were taught. It is rather interesting to observe and wonder what is going on in their own mind, so young and not yet fully understandable of things going on around them. Even when you just go out in public to eat or you're shopping just walking around you observe the people around you seeing what they are doing or how they are acting. You can't help but wonder what goes through their head, what are thinking or why are they doing what they do. I have always been a people watcher when i go out and do things even when i am working, seeing certain things that are different than what i was taught or how i was raised i judge my life compared to theirs or you can even learn new things by watching how people respect others by what they say or kind gestures. I just found this topic very interesting and personal, i may not do it the scientific observation way based off of a hypothesis and testing my theory, but i am watching closely and learning how different people interact with one another or themselves.
