Haidt and Morality

This week I found the video by Jonathan Haidt to be very interesting and thought provoking. It made me personally think about the balance of things like the yin and the yang for example. I believe that people do things because of morals, but we all have a different view of morals and how we use them to make decisions. Morals govern everything we do from how we dress to how we eat. As Haidt stated morals are evening defining what we put into our bodies. Morals are extremely complicated, even the decisions children make are not easy. Berger states that children make decisions based on morals as well. Children around ten years old make decisions based on what is "right" and what is "wrong". I believe that separating morals from the everything else would cause complete chaos. If morals did not govern what actions people take then there is no telling what would happen. Some people believe that some people already have no morals based on their decisions. I don't believe that I believe that every action that we take is based on morals, but every person's morals are different than everyone else in the world. That's what makes every person unique and how they develop is what I believe defines how we develop morals.
