Parenting

Growing up I always knew that my parents parenting style was very different compared to my friends parents. I have a very large family so my parents had to be strict or else there would be a lot of chaos. Although their parenting styles began to change over the years. They would be one way with one child and a different way with another depending on the personality and age of the child they were dealing with. I am second to last out of seven so my parents were a little different with me than they were with my older siblings. This wasn't a bad thing for me because my parents got a chance to learn from their mistakes with the older siblings before they got down to me. For example if they realized they were too strict about something with one sibling then when my time came around they would be much more lenient. My parents were nearly as strict with me growing up as they were with many of my older siblings, as each kid went on they became less and less uptight about things. So parents can naturally change their parenting styles as they gain more experience.
